Wow, it was only a few months ago that we hosted the very first
Winnipeg DemoCamp at the King's Head to resounding feedback! Now we are
BACK with, "DemoCamp Winnipeg Part Deux," returning to the 2nd Floor of
the King's Head on Tuesday, July 29/08, with our featured
presentations at 7 pm. Come earlier if you want to grab some food and
drinks or just chill out with the cool kids. :) We are hoping to keep
DemoCamps running as a separate stream in addition to our regular
monthly training. There are so many top-notch developers here in town
that we feel it can sustain itself on a regular basis!
DemoCamp is all about local New Media developers and entrepreneurs who
want to MAKE MONEY. It's about sharing your working product with
others, hanging out, and talking business or code with other
like-minded folks. Following the awesome demo that DojoLearning gave at
our last DemoCamp, numerous people chatted and several connections were
formed. These folks are now working on projects together and making
cash! That's the way we roll!
Our feature presentations this month include:
1.]
Game developer Alec Holowka and his video game Aquaria. Alec's
company Bit-Blot won best independent game at the 2006 Worldwide Game
Developer's Conference.
2.] Terry
Davison from Go Software showing
off his business and health care software. They've built a unique
web-based application for managing all aspects of a business.
3.] ???
We have room for one
more presenter on Tuesday. Please let us know if you're interested in
showing a product/software you've built or are working on! It doesn't
have to be a polished presentation, we're simply looking for some
show-and-tell.
In the spirit of Worldwide DemoCamp's we encourage you to register at
upcoming.org where you can see others who plan to attend. We also have
a Wiki going it you'd like to share ideas or notes from the event.
Enter DemoCamp Winnipeg, July 29, at the King's Head as an appointment in your iPhone now. We hope to see you out!
