On Tuesday, October 18/05, MNM presents, "Return of the Quicktime; One Codec to Rule Them All" in the A/V Room at the Microbiology Lab at 1015 Arlington. The meeting begins at 7:00 pm sharp.
This is not your grandma's movie player By harnessing the powers of the super H.264 codec, Quicktime 7 allows users to move into the next stratrosphere of video projects. From breathtaking simple video editing to outrageous video file sharing - QuickTime 7 can do it all (and even slay a few orcs). This presentation will show you all the good reasons to register Quicktime for $30 and unleash a slough of great features and editing capabilities.
Come for Quicktime, stay for the meat
At this session you'll find out how QuickTime 7 can turn up the power
on your multimedia experience. Not to be outdone - this session will be
delivered in HD, and feature a unique visit to a North End sausage
factory!
The presentation will be delivered by Brian Szklarczuk, proveyor of all
things cheap, easy and fun. You'll remember that Brian last presented
how to create a Steady-Cam for shooting smooth video under $30. Brian
is an active member of the Apple Worldwide Developer Community and
we're looking forward to having him back.
Brian's also lined up a video conference with former Winnipeger; Greg
Nosaty for Tuesday night. Greg has worked on Quest for the Bay (History
Television), The Last Battle of Hampton Gray (History Television)and
Sen Toku: Graveyard of the Ghost Fleet (Discovery International). He'll
have some great input into why Quicktime's Codec H.264 is so useful.
We hope to see you out!
