On Tuesday, July 19, 2005, Manitoba New Media presents, "Storytelling with Final Cut Pro," in the Psych Health A/V Lab on William. For directions click here. The presentation begins at 7:00 pm sharp.

Dave Wowchuk, designer and producer from Artisan Media in Winnipeg will be on hand to present a casual, yet informative glimpse into the creative process of story-telling and visual communication using Apple's Final Cut Pro. Dave will be using one of his projects to illustrate the foundation of video production: the story. He will also use a recent project from the 2005 Juno Awards to show how he created a highlight reel for a local radio station from a series of seemingly disconnected events. A bio of Dave and his company are included below.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see how Dave and his team at Artisan tell stories in Final Cut Pro through the deconstruction of a finished product. This meeting will benefit anyone involved with graphic design, videography, story-boarding, interactive media, producing, and writing. As always, there is no charge to attend our evening meetings, but there will be some great training products to give-away to paid MNM members.
